B/ SOME BASIC WAITING TIMES

Waiting period applies to new customers or customers who have been interrupted for more than 1 year. Customers who have renewed their participation will be exempted from waiting period for diseases covered by insurance.

30 days in case of illness or disease (including the time of illness until the end of treatment/calculated from the time of illness, not from the time of treatment).
90 days for maternity complications as defined from the date of insurance participation.
01 year for pre-existing diseases and diseases listed in General Exclusion Point No. 36 of this Insurance Policy.
01 year for special diseases as defined.
06 months for children up to 6 years old: bronchitis, bronchiolitis, pneumonia of all kinds.

C/ INSURANCE PARTICIPANTS

Conditions for participation in insurance under this insurance policy:
1/ The insured person is any Vietnamese citizen or foreigner residing in Vietnam from fifteen (15) days old to sixty-five (65) years old at the time of commencement of the Insurance Policy. The insured person can only participate up to sixty-five (65) years old on condition that he/she has participated continuously since the age of sixty (60).
2/ In case children under six (06) years old are only eligible for insurance, they must participate in the same insurance contract with their Father and/or Mother or their Father/Mother has participated in at least one type of Health Insurance, Medical Expenses that is still valid at Bao Viet Insurance. The insurance program of the dependent can only be applied at a level equivalent to or lower than the program of the Insured.
3/ For children from 15 days to 3 years old, inpatient and outpatient medical expense benefits are applied according to the co-payment rate specified in the attached Insurance Benefits Table.

4/ Children from 15 days old to 1 year old can only participate under the following conditions: Provide an insurance claim form in good health and the child has been discharged from the hospital, participate with the parent as mentioned above, and can only participate in the Platinum/Diamond program.
